Children’s Mental Health

Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions is the publicly funded provider for children's mental health supports in our region, with opportunities for school based support at Gravenhurst Public School. This is a self-referred service for families through the Childrens Mental Health Walk In Clinic.

To speak with a professional and/or to arrange for virtual support for a child or youth or their family, please call 705-645-4426 ext.6270. Someone is available to receive your call Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. (Summer hours 1st Monday after June 15 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for 13 weeks).

 

Students, if you need someone to talk to confidentially, Kids Help Phone is available 24/7. If you are experiencing an emergency - always call 911.

Daily Screening & Safe Arrival

Is your child not feeling well? Be sure to complete the provincial screening tool daily and follow the guidance given through that tool. It is updated regularly to align with provicial health guidelines.

Is your child going to be away? Please be sure to call our safe arrival line (705-687-3361) to let us know of your childs’ absence prior to 9:30am each day. Students with unexplained absences will recieve a call from the school to advise parents of their child’s absence.

Boston Pizza Operation Education:

Did you know Gravenhurst Public School is signed up for Operation Education and can earn money while you dine at Boston Pizza Gravenhurst! Any time teachers, students and their families dine-in at Boston Pizza Gravenhurst during the school year, Boston Pizza Gravenhurst donates 10% back to our school in credit to help with fundraising initiatives, breakfast program etc.
Just write on the back of the receipt (Gravenhurst PS) and drop it off to Boston Pizza. Thank you to Boston Pizza Gravenhurst for providing this opportunity and supporting GPS.

Did you know Gravenhurst PS has an ongoing fundraiser with Mabels Labels? All you need to do is go to: campaigns.mabelslabels.com and search for Gravenhurst Public School and start shopping. 20% from each order placed goes directly back into the school for items such as technology, books, outdoor equipment, learning supplies and more.
